Car Person meets with you, takes the pictures, writes the descriptions, provides the technical computer expertise and lists your car on internet websites, with a link to my website for pictures and details on your car. Car Person lists the car on Cars.com and/or Autotrader.com and/or craigslist.org and/or eBay internet websites plus the Car Person website. Car Person provides the phone and fax number, and email address for potential buyers to inquire about the car, and handles all communications and showings necessary to sell the car. I am usually available 7 days a week, to represent your car to buyers. The car may be shown away from your home, if you wish. The advantages of the internet listings are numerous . Your car is shown in much greater detail many pictures, to a wider group of prospective buyers,over a larger geographic area, and sometimes higher prices result. Car Person will list your car for free with no upfront costs. When the car sells a 10% (or less) fee based on the final selling price of the vehicle will apply. I offer free services for some school, charity, church and civic group's fund raising efforts. What will this cost? Car Person's fee is 10% of the final selling price of your vehicle. No fee is charged until after the vehicle is sold. If you sell or trade-in the vehicle yourself while still using Car Person services, a flat fee of $200 is charged to cover ad costs and internet services. When Car Person sells your vehicle, all costs are paid by Car Person, and you only pay the 10% fee. You never pay any upfront costs. How
long will it take?
The typical used vehicle takes 60-90 days to sell at a dealership. Much depends on the condition and sales price of vehicle you want to sell. I've sold vehicles in as little as 48 hours, but can't guarantee that. It's in both our interests to sell your vehicle as quickly as possible at a fair price. We can quickly sell your vehicle to a dealer (at wholesale price) but that generally means you'll lose at least $2000, better to sell it retail yourself, using our services. Trading-in is quick, but gets the lowest value for your vehicle. What
if my vehicle is already advertised in
the paper?
Great! You can just change the phone number in the ad to Car Person's number and I'll be the one waiting by the phone, and handling all the communications, if you wish. I'll also direct callers to pictures and details of your vehicle posted on the Car Person website, a huge help in selling quickly. What
if I don't need my car and don't want
to keep it at my home?
Car Person has a "Demo" program for this situation. Details here. What price do we use? Car Person will work with you in pricing your vehicle fairly, using all the latest pricing guides and our knowledge of the market. Price, will be dependant on vehicle condition, and how fast you want to sell it. Car Person only sells "Select" vehicles. What
about financing?
Car Person doesn't offer financing, but can suggest good financing alternatives to potential buyer's of your vehicle. It's part of our service, and is already included in the fee you pay when the car sells. What about the paperwork? Car Person is the internet sales department of Practical Driver broker. |
